1. Introduction
Welcome to Acrolyze ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at app.acrolyze.com and all related subdomains including vault.acrolyze.com, fin.acrolyze.com, biz.acrolyze.com (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Acrolyze.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Platform.
2. Definitions
- "User" any individual or entity that creates an account on the Platform.
- "Vault Data" encrypted passwords, documents, notes, financial records, and other content stored by Users.
- "Subscription" a paid plan granting access to premium features.
- "Zero-Knowledge" encryption architecture where the Company has no access to User's unencrypted Vault Data.
3. Account Registration
You must be at least 13 years of age (16 in the European Union and United Kingdom) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your password. The Company cannot recover your Vault Data if you lose your password due to our zero-knowledge architecture.
4. Zero-Knowledge Encryption
Acrolyze operates on a zero-knowledge architecture. Your Vault Data is encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption with keys derived from your password. We never store your encryption key in plaintext and cannot access, decrypt, or recover your Vault Data under any circumstances.
IMPORTANT: If you lose your password, your Vault Data is permanently inaccessible. We cannot reset your encryption key or recover your data.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Paid subscriptions are billed annually or monthly as selected. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We may change subscription fees with 30 days notice. Subscription auto-renewal can be canceled at any time through your account settings.
Payments are processed through PayPal and Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws. You may not upload, store, or transmit any content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains malware, or violates the rights of others.
7. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Acrolyze and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of all Vault Data you store on the Platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACROLYZE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Acrolyze in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Data Loss Disclaimer
Due to our zero-knowledge architecture, Acrolyze cannot recover lost or forgotten passwords, encryption keys, or Vault Data. You acknowledge and accept this limitation as an essential feature of our security model.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your Vault Data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Muscat, Oman.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
